thirst For Contact

Thirst for Contact is a sci-fi branded short set against the backdrop of government secrecy and domestic collapse. When a former government scientist uncovers a hidden program linking extraterrestrial energy to everyday consumer products, his life unravels, costing him his career, his credibility, and slowly, his marriage. Isolated and under surveillance, he becomes consumed with proving the truth, building crude systems in his home as his obsession grows louder than everything else around him.

At its core, the film is about obsession disguised as purpose, what happens when the thing you’re chasing starts to take more than it gives. As the line between paranoia and reality blurs, he’s forced to choose between holding onto the truth or holding onto the life he still has. But even when he finally lets go, the world doesn’t reset. The threat he uncovered was real all along…and it doesn’t end just because he walks away.
